ONE KISS FOR CHRISTMAS is a standalone read with a happy ending. This is part of a series, but each story is a standalone story. No cliffhangers and no sexy scenes so any age can read and enjoy. I loved this hero from the first scene. He is my kind of guy.Jim, 53 is a retired Army Officer. He has moved back to his small hometown of Orchard Falls, New York. He thought moving back home after 30 years would be just what he needed. He is divorced and has one adult daughter. He is finding he is quite bored with retirement, and it has only been a few months.Donna, 50 is a widow of 15 years with one grown son. He is the local vet with his own clinic. Donna works at the local bank and has never left the small town. She is content but not really happy as she finds herself to be lonely from time to time. Her son is very shy and has not dated a lot so thinking about grandchildren doesn't seem to be anything that is going to happen soon. After being out of town for a couple of weeks she returns to find that her beautiful tree right on the property line has been cut back on the adjoining property. Furious that someone would cut her tree without talking to her about it she storms next door and pounds on the door. Imagine her surprise when the door opens and there is the love of her life, her high school sweetheart, college days sweetheart and the guy that broke her heart. This is a great story. I loved the hero. He is such a great guy and when he finds out that Donna is not interested in taking up where they left off, he sets out to avoid her. The story is a great one and shows how misunderstandings can change the whole direction of your life. Communication is the key to good results and sometimes we get so caught up in our own way that we miss out on a lot.I loved this story. I definitely recommend it. It has a lot of funny moments and of course, a happy ending all the way around. Grandkids? Oh yeah, them too. A great read.I was not paid for this review. I am not a writer, nor do I know one. I am not kin to this author. I am not a bot. I am a reader, and this is my opinion, nothing more, nothing less. 11/10/2023.
Love to read
I really enjoyed reading this book. It was a soft, heartwarming read about love from years ago all the way to the present. The characters all had life problems/issues, but the book handled them in a way that you did not get upset or angry, but happy instead. It's nice to read like this every once in a while.I started on this book but now have to go back to book 1 and go thru the series.I highly recommend this book and this author.
A MUST READ
It was nice to read a story about older couples falling in love again. I would recommend this book for any time of the year.
