I loved the closeness that has developed between the three sisters. There were mistakes and forgiveness for events that were shocking to those involved in the decades long secrets which caused a breach in the close relationship between mother and daughter once the truth became known due to a modern DNA test kit.But all in all, things worked out allowing the parties involved to see the big picture and overcome the grief and disloyalty that originally reared its ugly head. I read the first 3 books of the series and loved getting to know the sisters, as well as Thelma, Junie, and Barb. I almost didn't read the rest of the books, but I decided to give the next one a chance. These people made me want to move to Hideaway Bay. Lives were woven together to build on each other. Wonderful stories of love and redemption. Just what we need in this crazy world today!
This series was so awesome and I couldn't wait to see what would happen next. I loved how it went from little kids to them growing up and into old age.

I heard never heard of Michelle Brouder or this series. I chose the first book randomly, and have blown through them all, now finishing up the last one. I recommended this series to every one of my friends that enjoys reading. When I first started this book, I wasn’t sure that I was going to accept these characters as deeply as I had the characters in the other book. I was wrong! I am only 3/4 of the way finished, and I can’t stop reading it. The issue that the main character goes through makes me feel almost bad for her not being comfortable in life, but even worse for those around her. Another book, and here I am wanting to pack my bags jump through the pages And land in Hideaway Bay. Five star book, five star series, five star author, and I recommend this to anyone who enjoys a good wholesome book with a deep storyline.
