Alice, the youngest of three Monroe sisters, still holds out hope that the uneasy relationship with her two sisters can be mended, an improbable wish since they live in different parts of the world. After her grandmother’s funeral, Alice returns home to Chicago and her high-powered career but thoughts of Hideaway Bay and the house her grandmother left to the three sisters are never far from her mind.
When it seems that her career comes at too great a price, namely her personal life, Alice heads back to Hideaway Bay to start over again.

Wat a wonderful read I did not want to put this down I picked it up every chance I got! Seriously if you love a good story of my I can't wait on to the next ! Thank you Michele !
I like that we got to know the characters much better in this book. I will definitely read the next one in the series.
This is the story of Hideaway Bay. The story ties together the stories of the residents. There's the story of Stanley and Thelma. Stanley owns the Old Red Top diner, running the grill and kitchen. it helm a is back in town with het son Donny. She believes Stanley has loved her since 3rd grade. Then there's the sisters..Alice, Lily and Isabelle. They lived with Grammy. Will they be able to stay close when Grammy dies? Interesting story of small town on a beach, interaction between people, and how we sometimes don't listen to our hearts. Enjoyed the interaction
I have enjoyed both books in the series but but I think this one was the best. I hated to see it end. I hope the story keeps going although this would still be the best.
This book was suggested to me by my cousin because she loved it, and I loved it too. I loved the colorful characters in the book and how the author went back and forth from past to present. She really made the characters come to life for me. I really loved the relationship between Thelma and Stanley - it was a beautiful thing. I hope that in a book to come, Alice and Jack Stirling might have a similar love.
