A sweet, heartwarming holiday romance.

More than anything, India Ramone wants to give her daughter, her younger brother, and her elderly grandfather a Christmas they deserve. After the death of her mother, the last two years have been rough and money is tight. A full-time nursing student, she feels her prayers have been answered with the temporary job of personal assistant to John Laurencelli. The billionaire is rumored to be demanding and difficult but India soon realizes there’s more to him than bad press and weapons-grade dangerous good looks. But with everything on her plate, she doesn’t have time to be falling for her new boss.

John Laurencelli lives, eats, and breathes his business and making money. For his own reasons, he’s avoided Christmas for two decades. But it’s proving difficult this year when his new assistant wears vintage holiday aprons, hums Christmas tunes, and likes to spread good cheer. Despite his determination not to celebrate the season, it isn’t long before India opens his eyes to what’s missing in his life.

Can they overcome their fears and misgivings to make it a truly wonderful Christmas for each other?

the heroine's life almost made me tired....

A WISH FOR CHRISTMAS is a standalone read with a happy ending. There are no sexy scenes so any age can read and enjoy. The story takes place in view of Lake Erie in New York.India, a single mother of a daughter and takes care of her younger brother and their grandfather. The parents had died, and they moved in with the grandfather. It is a busy household with a dog and cat to round things out. India supports them all plus attends nursing college. She doesn't have a minute to herself. Christmas is a month away and she needs money to give them a great Christmas. When the chance to get a part-time job comes up, she is willing to do anything.John is a billionaire. His only love is his work. He is very demanding and controlling. She will be working as an assistant to him. More like a housekeeper and cook but titles are titles. He is paying way above the norm, and he expects perfection and doing things exactly as he asks. This is an interesting read. Both main characters have a lot of emotional issue they are dealing with. Toss in a 12-year-old almost a teen boy dealing with the loss of his mother and not doing well. The grandfather is a great help to her especially with the children and her work hours, but he is almost 80 and he has his own issues. He lost his only daughter, and it has been hard on him. There is a lot going on. It is a good read, and I would recommend it.I was not paid for this review. I am not a writer, nor do I know one. I am not kin to this author. I am not a bot. I am a reader, and this is my opinion, nothing more, nothing less. 9/11/2023

OK, but not great

I just finished the five stand-alone books that now make up this series. They were pleasant reads, but they are all the written equivalents of Hallmark movies.

you can't stop love bug

In the beginning I felt sorry for India. I loved how she managed to show him that he didn't mean to be so hard to get along with. I really enjoyed it when he had to go with her to see her family. I really enjoyed this story.
